Porting Phone Numbers

 Whenever you want to switch from one phone company to another, it is a chore that must be handled properly. PEC has been dealing with the phone company bureaucracy for years and will undertake the task of porting when implementing your new plans.

International Virtual Numbers

A virtual number also known as direct inward dialing (DID) or access number is a telephone number without a  directly associated physical telephone line.  These numbers are programmed to forward to cell phones or international destinations.  

These phone numbers (DID) are  in different countries. that may route to your business line. PEC offers DID numbers  from Germany, UK, Australia, Spain, Canada, and many other countries. Buyers from these countries would like to dial a local number and order their merchandise.

Domestic Virtual Numbers

A virtual number also known as direct inward dialing (DID) or access number is a telephone number without a  directly associated physical telephone line.  These numbers are programmed to forward to cell phones or international destinations.   

These are USA specific DID numbers. We cover all the 50 USA states. These DID numbers allow you to have virtual presence in any state that you wish. Generally  people who need service would prefer to call a local number.

Your offices in a foreign country may have a US virtual numbers. Callers simply call the US number to talk to someone in your foreign office.

You can use virtual numbers for tracking your advertisements. You simply allocate one virtual  number to an advertisement you want to track.

800 Numbers

Toll  free numbers essentially allow your callers to call you from any phone without worrying about what the phone  company would charge them.  The callers that call  toll free numbers are not sensitive to where your business is located. PEC offers toll free  numbers at very attractive rates and also gives you the ability to route your business calls based on the time of the day and caller ID. For example during the day hours, it would forward the calls to your US office and at night hours  it will route the calls to your overseas office. 

SIP Trunks

SIP trunks enable the end point's PBX to send and receive phone calls via the internet. A SIP trunk replaces  T1 trunks from the phone companies which are fixed lines and very expensive.  The savings are realized in a very short time.

PEC offers  SIP trunks anywhere in the US and some foreign countries.  The PEC engineers work with the PBX vendors to make sure the SIP trunks are properly integrated with the company PBX.

SMS Text Messaging

 SMS (short message service)  is a text messaging service offered by the telephone companies. It is a very effective means of communications.  PEC offers SMS services that allow your computer to send an SMS text message to any cell phone.  PEC offers inbound SMS text message service which allows your company to receive messages to a non cell phone number. PEC  allows your company to receive SMS message on your 800 number and also send SMS message from your 800 number. SMS costs 1 cent per message.

Caller ID Name (CNAM)

When your customers’ phones ring, they want to know who’s calling. CNAM (which stands for Caller ID Name) is a component of caller ID. 

PEC  can enable a  CNAM for your PBX DID number, so when your PBX receives a call, the registered name of the caller shows up.

PEC can register an outbound CNAM for your DID number.  When a call is made from your PBX, whatever CNAM you  have registered shows up on the receiver's phone number.

E911

PEC helps you connect your PBX to a 911 service. Starting in 2020, there will be many rules and regulations regarding the 911 that must be implemented by your  PBX. PEC will work with your PBX vendor to implement the new capabilities.

Software API

All the services offered by PEC Telecom may be accessed by an API (applications programming interface). If you have your own software package; your software can send an SMS, make a voice call, receive an SMS, and control different call flows. PEC Telecom will help your software developers to implement their solutions.
